How to choose PVC floor
Many PVC floor sellers say that PVC flooring has a wide range of applicability, and there seems to be no place that is not suitable for use. The application of PVC flooring is indeed very wide, from commercial to civilian, from factories to schools, from institutions to hospitals, from sports venues to vehicles, PVC flooring can be seen everywhere. Even so, it cannot be generalized, PVC flooring is suitable for various places.
The application of PVC flooring pays attention to functionality and applicability. Similarly, the choice of PVC flooring is to use different floors according to the functions of the floor. For example, the floors used in hospital wards must be wear-resistant, stain-resistant, antibacterial, The basic requirements of environmental protection, fire prevention, safety, and sound insulation; for shopping malls and supermarkets, the basic characteristics of the floor's wear resistance, stain resistance, shock absorption, fire resistance, and applicability should be considered; for the floors used in school classrooms, it should be considered The floor is wear-resistant, stain-resistant, safe, environmentally friendly, non-slip, impact-resistant, and sound-proof. For the sports floor used in the sports field, the first thing to consider is the safety, applicability, and compliance with the requirements of the sports field. Consider the requirements of the floor's wear-resistant, stain-resistant, environmental protection, and impact resistance: for the floors of electronic workshops and electronic computer rooms that have anti-static requirements, in the case of ensuring that the floor is wear-resistant, stain-resistant, environmentally friendly, clean, and easy to clean Next, it is necessary to ensure that the floor does not generate static electricity. It can be seen that different places need to choose different PVC flooring, which cannot be generalized. To choose a PVC floor, you must first understand the functionality of the place you are using, what are the requirements for the floor, you must ensure the main functions of the place of use, and then master the main parameters of the floor and the applicable place of the floor, and choose a suitable floor according to your space design concept. floor. There are many floor technical parameters to be considered when choosing a floor. Below I will introduce some simple and easy floor identification knowledge for your reference when choosing a floor.
1、PVC flooring can be divided into coiled flooring and sheet flooring. Generally, coiled flooring is more suitable for places with high requirements for floor cleanliness, such as hospitals, laboratories, office buildings, corridors, stairs, sports venues, Gym, guild hall, science and technology museum, museum, exhibition hall, pharmaceutical factory, bus, subway, train carriage and other places. Sheet flooring is mainly used in commercial places, office buildings, corridors, halls and other places.
2. The color and pattern of PVC floor are relatively rich, and all kinds of patterns are close to each other . For semi-enclosed corridors, you must choose a floor with good anti-aging performance. The floor will change color anyway. PVC floor is not suitable for use in places with strong sunlight. If it has been selected, it must be well protected.
3. The thickness of the PVC floor is many. Most of the floors sold in the market are thicker and higher in price. Therefore, many people mistakenly misunderstand that the price of the floor and the quality of the floor are related to the thickness of the floor. The thickness of the floor and the price are determined by the input of raw materials, and cannot determine the quality of the floor. The quality of the floor mainly depends on the wear resistance of the floor. The wear resistance of the homogeneous PVC floor is divided into four grades: F, M, P and T. The floor wear resistance of the F grade is the worst, and the T grade is the best. . The wear resistance of the composite PVC floor is based on the wear resistance test of the floor. The composite PVC floor is subjected to a pressure grinding test using testing tools. Each revolution of the detection and grinding is one revolution, and it has been polished until the wear-resistant layer of the floor is polished. The number of grinding revolutions until the printing layer is destroyed is the wear resistance of the floor, and the higher the number of grinding revolutions, the better the wear resistance of the floor. Our country has two standards for the wear resistance test of the board (with the base layer), one is the general type, code-named G; the other is the durable type, code-named Ha. The general-purpose floor wear-resistant revolutions are greater than 1500 revolutions; the durable type is greater than 5000 revolutions. General-purpose floors are only suitable for use in places with low wear-resistant requirements such as clean rooms and households. They are not suitable for use in commercial places such as hospitals, offices, schools, factories, etc. Commercial places can only use durable flooring, or durable flooring Grind the floor with about 10,000 revolutions.
4、The thickness of the wear-resistant layer (composite type) of the PVC floor cannot completely determine the quality of wear resistance of the floor. The thickness of the wear-resistant layer of the PVC floor is generally between 01mm--0.7mm, and there are a few with a thickness of 1.0--1.2mm. Floors of different manufacturers have different thicknesses of wear-resistant layers, and the wear resistance of floors is also different. The wear-resistant layer is also 0.4mm thick. A PVC floor with a thin wear-resistant layer is more wear-resistant than a floor with a thick wear-resistant layer. This is mainly determined by different manufacturers and the quality of the wear-resistant layer. It can only be said that the wear resistance of the floor with a high wear-resistant layer will be better, but it is not absolute. It is recommended that customers ask the floor dealer for the "quality inspection report" of the floor when purchasing PVC floor, and look at the test results. You can also use 80-grit sandpaper to lightly press back and forth on the floor sample provided by the seller to grind, one back and forth is one turn, and see how many turns the floor can accept to expose the base layer, so the test result should be consistent with the test report. small differences. If the printing layer of the floor lacks 1000 rotations, it will be destroyed, indicating that the floor does not have 1500 rotations, and it is an unqualified floor.
5. PVC floor is made of PVC material. PVC is polyvinyl chloride, that is, plastic. Plastic does not contain formaldehyde. Since the PVC composite floor is a multi-layer structure, the bonding of the floor requires certain processing technology and technology. , Manufacturers with immature technology often use glue to bond, so that the PVC floor contains harmful gases such as formaldehyde and releases it. Therefore, when buying PVC flooring, don’t forget to smell the floor for pungent smell. Usually, PVC coiled flooring will have a slight smell, and the smell of PVC flooring with better processing technology is almost invisible, even if Will not irritate the respiratory system. The floor produced by many domestic PVC coiled flooring manufacturers cannot dissipate the smell after several months of laying.
6. The fire protection rating of PVC floor is Bf1 level. Any floor lower than Bf1 cannot be used in public places (hospitals, office buildings, schools, stadiums, scientific research institutions, social structures, automobiles and other means of transportation. Our country The fire rating of building materials is strictly classified. The floor is mainly divided into A1fl, A2 fl, Bfl, Cfl, D fl, Efl, Ff17 grades , and the fire rating of PVC floor is Bf1.
7. The color of PVC floor is relatively rich, because the color of PVC floor is printed, so no matter which manufacturer, the floor produced, even if it is a type of floor, the floor of different production batches has color difference, a production There should be little difference in floor color between batches. If the gap is large, it means that the floor manufacturer is either lax in management or immature in floor color difference processing technology.
