During the first six months of 2017, resilient flooring appeared a positive growth. Analysts attributed this growth to LVT flooring. But manufacturers thought that WPC(Wood Plastic Composite）and SPC (Stone Plastic Composite）are the main reason for sales growth.

According to “Flooring Covering News” reported that the sales of LVT flooring and its subclass occupied 42.3% of residence quantity and 67.6% of residence income in 2017. Analysts predicted that the proportion will not decrease in 2018, but still shows a strong growth. In 2017, the total sales of resilient flooring increased 19.7% compared to 2016’s 2.924 billion dollars which up to 3.4 billion and 99 million dollars. And this increasing proportion is almost quadrupling of whole flooring industry. In addition, the sales of resilient flooring among rigid ground materials is the highest which occupied 16.5% of whole flooring industry sales. Industry professionals calculated that the growth of resilient flooring sales will be kept in 2018 because waterproof flooring is getting more and more popular. At the same time, with the fast growth of WPC and SPC flooring, other kind of flooring will lose their monopolistic market share. Especially the laminate flooring, because of the unsolved problem of waterproof and noise, it will suffered a great shock with the appearance of WPC and SPC flooring.
